Not enough security
We were one row of people behind the gate. Considering the bands / type of music, there were FAR too few security people. We ended up leaving early because of the lack of crowd control. We are long time metal fans and expect / have zero issues with crowd surfing or pits, but we do take issue with security showing zero interest in managing clearly drunk / high attendees aggressively shoving their way through the crowd to get on the gate, and choosing instead to eyeball vape smokers in the crowd for the entirety of the show. They also seemed to struggle pulling crowd surfers down once they got to the front. We will not be purchasing GA tickets to any future shows at the Roxy, and may choose not to attend any more shows at this venue.
